The Barrett-Jackson Auction is an annual event in January at Westworld of Scottsdale. Advertised as the World's Greatest Collector Car Auction, this event attracts thousands every year from all over the world. There are hundreds of vintage cars, trucks and collector vehicles to view and to buy!

The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is an annual event that has been on since the mid-1950s! What a great way to spend the day if you're not out golfing, shopping or relaxing at a spa!! It's on for 10 days so try to fit in to your February schedule for a nice relaxing event to view. Vendors are plentiful too!

Glendale Glitters is on every December in Historic Downtown Glendale where every building & tree is lit up beautifully for Christmas. A couple of streets are closed to vehicles for this event. Enjoy horse & carriage rides, hot air balloons, cute curio shops, street vendors & more at this popular nightly event.

The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 12-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure. It is on every year from mid February through March.

For three fun-filled days in March, Tumbleweed Park in Chandler Arizona will resound with music, excitement, and laughter for the annual Ostrich Festival!! Two stages spotlight a diverse sampling of great music, while a huge midway and Ostrich races with human jockeys provide excitement to thousands.

The Phoenix Zoo has been voted as one of the top five zoos for kids. This family attraction is awesome to visit for all ages and is open 7 days a week just east of the city core not far from downtown and the airport. They have zoo lights in the Christmas season too!

The World Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is a great attraction that opened in Dec of 2008 and features a public aquarium, wildlife indoor & outdoor exhibits. You can get close and personal with the animals! Also there's rides including a 1500 ft log flume ride, mini-train & zip-lining over the palm trees!! Great family fun at Litchfield Park in the west valley.

There are three large water parks for summer fun in the Greater Phoenix area....Hurricane Harbor in Phoenix, Big Surf In Tempe and the Golfland Sunsplash in Mesa. Hurricane Harbor is the largest water park and is located in the north end of Phoenix close to the Loop 101 freeway.  There is also tubing down the Salt River in Mesa which is great fun in the warmer months.
