Phoenix & Scottsdale Area Shopping

Here are images and info about a handful of shopping centers located throughout the valley. This collection is barely skimming the surface of all the available places to shop here. In every town and city that comprise Greater Phoenix, you will find an abundance of strip malls, specialty shops, dining and entertainment.

Scottsdale Fashion Square is the largest shopping mall in Arizona and the American Southwest, with approximately 2 million square feet of retail space. Anchored by 5 mega stores- Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus, Macy's, Dillards and Barneys and includes upscale brands like Gucci, Juicy Couture and Louis Vuitton. It can be overwhelming because of the crowd and the size, so you may want to explore it in chunks.

Biltmore Fashion Park is a luxury outdoor retail and dining plaza located in the Biltmore Corridor of Central Phoenix along the prestigious stretch of Camelback Rd. The renovated and expanded mid-century plaza is the City of Phoenix's premiere address for high-end retail. The Fashion Park as well as the surrounding business and residential district are named after the historic Arizona Biltmore Hotel.

Chandler Fashion Center is the second largest mall in Greater Phoenix with more than 180 stores and 5 anchors including Arizona's second Nordstrom, Sears, Dilliards, Macy's and Harkins Theaters. The mall layout is designed like the letter 'A' with the food court as the top point. All the indoor mall shops radiate out into 3 wings from the food court.

Arizona Mills is an awesome huge indoor outlet mall in Tempe that is anchored with outlet versions of Saks Fifth Avenue, JC Penney, Sears Appliances, Neiman Marcus, Legoland and the Burlington Coat Factory. This mall is located on the southeast corer of the US 60 and the I-10 freeway.

Desert Ridge Marketplace is a super-regional mall located off the Loop 101 and Tatum Blvd in North Phoenix. It was built to target upscale neighborhood residents in NE Phoenix and North Scottsdale located just 5 minutes away via the freeway. It features Target Greatland, Barnes and Noble, Kohl's, Petsmart and Old Navy complimented by an extensive selection of specialty stores.

Tempe Marketplace's 1.3 million square feet of retail space is positioned as an open-air pedestrian-oriented environment. National retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Gap, Best Buy, Old Navy, Guess and Target plus casual-theme restaurants including California Pizza Kitchen, Lucille's BBQ and the Keg Steakhouse & Bar.

Mesa Marketplace is well known among the snowbird population from the US and Canada as a place to cruise through four aisles that are a football field's length filled with merchants and suppliers selling inexpensive goods and services. It has a central food court with entertainment and is open on weekends only.

Outlet Mall...need I say more... this outdoor mall is the Outlets of Anthem and is located at the north end of Phoenix at Anthem along the I-17 freeway as you head out of town towards Sedona or Flagstaff. It's a great place to visit at Christmas as they truck down a tree 80-110 feet tall from Northern Arizona or California and have a party the night they turn the switch for the lighting. You can spend a whole day here!

Tanger Outlet Mall opened beside Westgate City Center Entertainment District in Glendale on Nov 15, 2012 and is a great addition to shopping in the west valley of Greater Phoenix. With over 90 outlet stores, shoppers will enjoy Coach Factory, Fossil, Gap, Guess, Banana Republic, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and many more.
